The collection of autographs and documents dedicated to the composer Johann Nepomuk David has been started in 1970 and went to a wider public in 1975 with an exhibition "Johann Nepomuk David Archives, collection Bernhard A.Kohl, Stuttgart" at the Austrian National Library in Vienna. Since that time the stocks, which serve the scientific research, are being constantly extended by acquisitions and purchases.
For further research, we are looking for: Handwritten and printing of David themselves, its pupils and colleagues, for instance manuscripts, letters, photos, concert programs, reviews, newspaper articles, tone carrier accommodations, posters, scores (with or without drawing in, not only first printings), books with special topic or with dedications as well as photographs, also from the area of the music of the 20th century generally. Memories of J.N.David, also personal type, are from special interest.
The stocks of the Johann Nepomuk David Archives cover so far except the autographs and letters the entire published works (first and later outputs), the secondary literature and tone carrier to almost all compositions; they form the central center of research for documents together with the out public libraries to J.N.David.
In the last years a computer-assisted data base was compiled among other things, and 1996 appeared after research work likewise of several years the "thematic-bibliographic catalog of all compositions and writings" also over 600 titles, under it more than half unpublished. Perhaps also you can decide to place your documents of the research to the order.
